Good Coffee and Good Friendships

I just spent the evening with two of my good friends with coffee. Three men sitting around a table in downtown Athens having some coffee, and talking about life, business, ministry, and sharing ideas. I love talks that are open and real like those, because great ideas that could possible change businesses and ministry are born in environments like that. Environments where people who are living in their strengths have the opportunity to share their ideas and visions without being judged or looked down on. Instead, we all share and encourage each other, and then we set out on making those visions and ideas stick! It was fun.

This week in music was good. I traveled to Hebron Church on Wednesday to play for a group at their event in the park. We were outside, and while it was hot, it was a cool place to play and lead worship. We had great food and it was awesome to sing and lead worship "in public". People were walking by the park, stopping in and out wondering what was going on. On Sunday, I went back to Center Pointe Church to lead worship for their Sunday morning worship service. I served on staff at Center Pointe for two years as their worship leader, and it was great to be back. I'll be traveling there again next Sunday to serve them once more this summer. The church is really growing, and they are currently raising money for a new church builiding, so it's exciting times at Center Pointe. I introduced them to Tim Hughe's song "Highest and Greatest" that we've been playing recently, and they fell in love with it! I'm excited about playing it again next week! More to come next week...
